I love BIG thinking that moves big pieces on the board, creates value, and pushes the human condition forward. I build ecosystems that bridge Asia to the world through Korea (or) innovation platforms (or) work with and/or invest in companies that do so.
I am on a whole foods plant-based lifestyle (NEW!! It started when I had my stroke, and I keep it up in honor of my Mom… and I like it!)
Strength: UNLIMITED GRIT / Being grateful for the ride, no matter the ups and downs.
Weakness: Aphasia and Stroke (Argh!). Slowly, starting get better. RaaawwwrrrrRRR!!!

* Originally recruited by Google to lead Korea operations, nearly 20 years of “in-the-trenches” experience helping companies be successful in the notoriously difficult, but ultra-savvy Korean market including: Google, Facebook, Twitter, Estee Lauder Companies, Paramount Pictures, Sanrio Digital, etc.
* Executive Partner of Startup Seoul. Innovation and Startups Center in “Garosugil” (Fashion District and international arm).
* Managing Director of the Fashion Technology Accelerator, Seoul (headed up by the former Gucci Board Member, Enrico Beltramini) and Cofounder of Korea’s two premier startup hub and accelerator, Seoul Space and Kstartup (the first Asian accelerator funded by Google), headed up myself (CEO), David Lee (ex-early Googler/Board Member) and Rodney Yi (CP Entertainment). We have had 3 Exits and still going strong.
* Founder of +822 (Plus Eight Two Two): Seoul Convergence Summit, at intersection of Technology and the Arts. (on hold right now as stroke get better.)
Our startups and programs have received and investment and/or partnerships from: Y-Combinator, 500 Startups, Google’s Entrepreneurship Program, Samsung, NHN Investments, GS Investments, Quest Ventures, and more. I continue as a Mentor, Board Advisor and investor for various Korean startups.

EVOLUTION
* Work directly with Korea’s top conglomerates, academia, and government Ministries to stimulate the rapid evolution of the Korea startup ecosystem through startup programs, events and agency services.
LIFE
* (Pre-stroke) Former NCAA Championships Swimmer and Bowdoin College Swim Team Captain, avid birder, martial artist, oldschoolz skateboarder, artist, 9-ball tournament player, baseball (catcher), equestrian rider and life junkie.
* (Post-stroke) *80% 70% 60%health (I do it for my Mom /physical therapy/working out/research and data), 10% 20% 40% work, 10% whatever. I want to get over the stroke/aphasia!
