Re-Generate: China, Japan, S. Korea (Workshop Tutorial)

I went to a workshop… and it was great.

“CAMPUS Asia Alumni Workshop:
Re-Generate China Japan ROK”

China, Japan flew in and joined Korea and all got together and did a workshop, sponsored by TCS. (I forget what is actually was called… …Secretaries…. some government title. <argh!> Aphasia: 1, Richard: 0 (ㅠㅠ)

(These things have so many “Workshops”, I will highlight one.)

Ryo Umezawa, VC of East Ventures (and load of other stuff.) He invited me and wanted offer me a spot on the Global Shaper at World Economic Forum, but I was too old! Haha!!  Besides, I wanted to go and see my friends, and I’m glad I did.

I met Katie Bomi Son (손보미), Global CEO, Qara, Quant AI (Deep Learning) Robo-Advisor, last time. She is way cool.

And Jonathan Rechtman, Co-Founder, Cadence Translate and Venture Partner, iAsk Capital. I only met him once, but we had some talks and shared somethings, and we be down like that. Ha!

Jon, Ryo and me be planning something! It will be awesome. Stay tuned!

Winner: Man Mom!

“They are suppose to help working married women by creating days where the husband/father will take care of the kids and experience how hard life can be. ” – Ryo 🙂

But overall, it was good.

It reminded me of “Workshops” that we did a lot of.

Here’s how it work (generally).

Workshop, (for example):

  • You get college students or business workers, and
  • You get in a team: 5 – 10 teams, 4 – 5 members.
  • You get a topic: “Develop social impact projects for local communities.” (picked by TCS)
  • Speaker/s information (at least, one speaker) or a group.
  • Set time with 1 hour/1 hour (15 minutes break). It doesn’t what just you give them, but always use the clock.
  • Mentors go around … and “mentor” them. ha.
  • Finals: Each group will have to “Pitch” them (5 – 10 minutes) off to the judges.
  • 3 – 5 judges. Mentors will judge (or s/he will be accomplished in the business to judge).

And the winner will be picked. 🙂

That is all she wrote.

Dinner will follow, but you don’t have to do dinner. It’s optional.

Here is the “Campus Asia” one:

I have done loads of this stuff. It’s fun, you get to meet people and you get to help others. Win-Win.   🙂

Here is another picture of a Workshop I did. (I was the speaker.^^)
